Bikes, Buller & Bromance

My good friends Zane and Calvin (whose lovely faces you would have seen previously in my galleries) invited me to their family flat tucked away on the picturesque Mt. Buller over the weekend as the boys (or as they would exclaim, "excuse me, but we are men!") wanted to 'bromance' over some international mountain bike race. Having only seen Buller during the snow season I was super keen for a summer visit to enjoy some bush walking and explore the amazing landscape and nature.

Our archery friends Carmen and Ricky joined us too on the second day to cheer on the cyclists as they raced round the mountain - the Mexican wave, whistles and even a cowbell all made respective appearances!

Supercar Drive

I guess you can say it is one of those things to tick off in your bucket list as a self confessed petrolhead... a ride in a an exotic supercar. Cue in Kev - an old friend of mine who owns Supercar Drive. As you've probably guessed, you can basically "rent/drive" either a Lamborghini Gallardo and/or a Ferrari F430. A Facebook message and a phone call later and we were booked in for a mid-week "fun-run".

Upon arriving at Gate 3 at Sandown raceway we were greeted with this pimped out shiny Euro beauty...

Naturally, Steve couldn't help himself.

However, that was soon forgotten when we were greeted by the glorious glowing green machine sitting deceptively dormant outside Kev's office.

I hadn't seen Kev in years, but he was just as I remembered (he is going to hate me for this lol!).

Kev and Steve quickly bonded the moment the word 'motorbikes' was mentioned.

But onto the main attraction, and the series of photos that will ensue from the next few hours was nothing short of car porn. Wait till you see the smile on Steve's face at the end of it!

Someone's a happy chappy! :)

And just as we were leaving, Sandown Raceway we heard some cars rumbling round the track, so of course we had to check it out!
